Been going to Jesse's occasionally for over 20 years and it isn't what it used to be, but still good. The atmosphere is the same as it has been, no upgrades, kinda dusty and musty. The service on this last visit was sub-par. Call me old fashioned but I think employees working in customer service should at least smile and use common courtesy and manners - that was how I was always trained. She was very short with us and quite rude. It wasn't busy when we were there. We got the feeling she was disappointed that we didn't upgrade our meals and order the most expensive items. We did order cocktails, and dessert to go! I was disappointed in my "sangria" which was basically a mixed drink with some fruit thrown in. My crab bisque wasn't impressive. I had a good wedge salad. My husband's black and blue steak was AMAZING! I'll be getting that next time! The blueberry cheesecake and creme brulee were delicious, though they got quite messed up in the to-go containers, it didn't matter to us!

Nice local streak house. We sat in the bar section. The TV’a are small to watch sports. Our waitress was very friendly. The meat was a little dissapointing. The beer was very cheap (4$). The chicken wings were amazing.

Review of Jesse Steak House Jesse Steak House offers a charming and elegant atmosphere—warm lighting, tasteful decor, and a cozy ambiance that makes it a lovely place for a night out. The service was attentive and friendly, with staff going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. While the setting and hospitality impressed, the food itself didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience. It was decent, but nothing particularly memorable in terms of flavor or presentation. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes and solid service, Jesse’s delivers—but don’t go in expecting a standout meal.

I came in wih three other people and our server, Melanie, was very good communicating about the menu, keeping our table organized, and accomidating our needs. Truly remarkable hospitality because she made us feel like we belonged. The creme brulee was also so amazing I had to get a second one.

We ordered sirloin steak, and lobster and it was delicious! NH IPA’s were really good, would recommend for summer. To finish we ordered deserts chocolate mousse and salty caramel ice cream sandwich - highly recommended , save yourselves some space in the stomach to try out those.

Service was pretty slow considering we went there when it was not busy during late lunch hours and we ordered a burger and a cheesesteak. I wouldn't recommend going to this when you're really hungry or really want to get in and out quickly but the food was fantastic. The cheesesteak is less a cheesesteak and more a prime rib pot roast on a really good roll. I don't think it had any sauce on it, which I really expect cheesesteak to have, but the meat was so good that it didn't really need a sauce. Roll was light and crisp. Mininal vegetables on it: mostly steak. If you like seeing your peppers, onions, or mushrooms, ask for extra - I wasn't even sure there were any on it. Delicious, regardless. It is expensive! $50 for lunch for 2, and no appetizers and only 1 drink (I drank water).

Jesse's Steakhouse in Hanover, NH, is a classic neighborhood gem that has been serving locals for over two decades. Nestled at 7 Blue Sky Drive, this steakhouse offers a warm, cozy atmosphere marked by soft lighting and a timeless decor that invites guests to unwind. Though some might find the ambiance a bit dated, it carries a nostalgic charm that longtime patrons appreciate. The multiple dining rooms and a lively bar area cater well to both intimate dinners and larger gatherings, making it versatile for various occasions.

The heart of Jesse’s lies in its hearty, traditional steak offerings. Notably, the black and blue steak stands out as a must-try, skillfully prepared and full of flavor, earning high praise from many visitors. Prime rib and salmon dishes also shine here, with the salmon Caesar salad showcasing fresh, if occasionally slightly wilted, greens that complement the rich fish nicely. For those branching out, the chicken wings impress with their balance of seasoning and texture, delivering a savory punch that's hard to forget.

Desserts at Jesse's hold their own, with the crème brûlée emerging as a particular highlight—a silky, caramelized treat that indulges without overwhelming. The blueberry cheesecake is another sweet favorite, even though takeout packaging can sometimes disrupt presentation. On the beverage front, cocktails may not always dazzle, evidenced by a somewhat lackluster sangria experience, but the affordably priced beer selection offers a budget-friendly complement to the meal.

Service quality at Jesse's varies, but attentive and warm hospitality can be found, as demonstrated by servers like Melanie, whose attentive and accommodating nature elevates the dining experience. However, some recent visits suggest room for improvement in customer engagement and courtesy, reminding us that the human touch remains key in fine dining.

In summary, Jesse's Steakhouse is a blend of timeless steakhouse tradition and casual comfort. You come here for the reliably great steaks, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service more than haute cuisine. It’s a place where familiar flavors and a homey vibe create a solid experience, ideal for those who cherish consistency and a personal touch in their dining outings.
